Hunter Woods Apartments

A cornerstone of the city’s residential expansion is the Hunter Woods development, a multi-phase project designed to meet the growing demand for high-quality, attainable housing. This 32-acre community, featuring a mix of single-family homes, townhomes, and modern apartments, was made possible through a vital intergovernmental partnership. Recognizing the project's regional importance, the LaPorte County Council and Board of Commissioners approved $500,000 in ARPA funding specifically to bridge the infrastructure gap. This investment directly funded the extension of critical water and sewer lines to the site, covering roughly 25% of the total infrastructure costs and ensuring that this safe, vibrant neighborhood could move from the drawing board to reality for Indiana families.
